Every technical documentation site should based on the PHP docs. So good. Beats Ruby and MySQL, thats for sure.

Yeah, Google is an awesome resource and it does beat asking on forums, cause most of the time on forums you get some ass-witted, smarty pants who points you to a thread started 8 decades ago where this exact question was asked. Then he insults you and closes the thread. Love technical forums…

Google. Every time I met an obstacle, I use it first, and mostly I find the solution. It beats asking in a forum and just to get a reply, search Google first!

And because I'm using PHP, docs at PHP.net is very helpful.

If I knew I only had to remember 10 sites I would have stopped bookmarking long ago.

What about "A List Apart" (http://www.alistapart.com/) by the one, the only, Jeffrey Zeldman.

ALA contains the seminal piece about the web - "A Dao of Web Design" (http://www.alistapart.com/articles/dao/) by none other than John Allsopp of Web Directions South fame (http://www.webdirections.org/).
