articles and projects to come in 2009

We’ve been a bit quiet at Fliquid Studios lately, busy working away on various articles and upcoming projects. To keep you all in the loop I thought I’d post a brief update of things to come over the next few months. The following list are in no particular order.

Firstly, topic that we’ve got articles planned for or are in progress:

  • Our top 5 tips for SEO
  • URL rewriting with Apache and PHP
  • Search engine data aggregation/reporting
  • REST and SOAP howto’s
  • Yahoo search API
  • Image manipulation with GD and ImageMagick
  • VirtualBox howto
  • Database session handling in PHP
  • Loads more…

Secondly, some of the projects we’re working on or have planned:

  • Milk – Our PHP/Javascript application framework
  • Event and URL Javascript libraries will be coming out of BETA
  • The base Javascript utilities will be released
  • Our Invoicing application will be launched
  • Loads of other Javascript libraries (including calendar chooser and image gallery)
  • SVN integration library will be released
  • Fliquid website: this was put together quickly as we’re focusing on other tasks. We aim to improve it dramatically.
  • Lots more bits and bobs…

As you can see, we have been quite busy and we’re going to be even more active as the year progresses. For me the most exciting part will be the launch of Milk as this framework will be open sourced and allow for some excellent technical input from other developers.

If you are interested to find out more about any of the above or other projects please feel free to leave a comment or contact us directly. As a side note we’ve created a Fliquid Studios twitter account you can follow, http://twitter.com/fliquid.

That’s all for now.
